Testimonials
I am an acupuncturist who received a green card in only six weeks after filing with the help of Ms. Valerie Curtis-Diop last year. I express my sincere thanks and gratitude to her and the staff of The A.D.I.L.A. Law Group again. I think myself very fortunate to have retained Valerie for my immigration needs. She has been an incredible immigration attorney from the beginning. Moreover, she is very compassionate, caring and understanding individual. I cannot ask for a more dependable and accessible attorney, and I would highly recommend her to anybody. Our next move is naturalization and Valerie will of course be our lawyer.

In 1994 I needed an Immigration Lawyer and a friend of mine recommended Valerie Curtis-Diop. My experience in dealing with Valerie was extremely positive from beginning to end. I was very happy with the outcome of my case and would highly recommend her to anyone.

She has all the attributes one would expect in a good lawyer: professionalism, integrity, knowledge and seasoned experience.
Along with doing a good job for me, she was also very attentive, responsive, personable and patient with all my questions.

As most people know, Immigration cases can be very difficult and stressful for a client. There is an element of fear and anxiety attached to such cases (at least for me!) and I was so grateful to have beside me a lawyer who understood what I was going through and was ready to help. That was very reassuring.

Valerie was always available to me in person, via phone or email.
She went over each stage of the procedure in detail, explaining what I needed to do, what would happen and when. She always took the time to accompany me downtown for various legal appointments.

Therefore I would not hesitate to recommend the services of Valerie Curtis-Diop wholeheartedly.

I am a mother, Ford Foundation International Fellow, activist and now, thanks to The A.D.I.L.A. Law Group, asylee in the United States. I helped build schools and “safe zones” for girls at risk of early marriage and Female Genital Mutilation. As a victim of Female Genital Mutilation, myself, I spoke out against this traditional practice. Due to my beliefs and outspoken nature, I became an outcast, and was persecuted for my beliefs. When I came to the United States, I knew my life was in danger if I were forced to return to Kenya.

I heard about ADILA through a friend who also got asylum through them. The best part about ADILA Law Group was the preparation done on my case. I was represented by Sylvia Ayass. Ms. Ayass was able to get the whole story out of me, even things that I tried so hard to bury deep in my mind. It was like going through a painful surgery, but up to today that was the best therapy that I ever received.

Ms. Ayass was firm and passionate. She is the great listener and even heard the silent unspoken words. She is amazing. She was so supportive in the whole process, never got tired of my endless calls, even when I have nothing much to say. She always gave me hope even it seems hopeless and tough.

I remember on the day of the interview it occurred to me that we were in this together, and she was more than just an attorney. Ms. Ayass took my case personally, we were so connected, she felt my pain and she simply got it. She always wanted to know how I’m doing, how my children are doing back in Kenya.

I would recommend anyone to ADILA, they are affordable, understanding and very competent.

I fled from Afghanistan to obtain asylum in the United States. I was introduced to The A.D.I.L.A. Law Group through a former client of theirs. The A.D.I.L.A. Law Group is a firm of perfectionists who put a lot of effort in each and every case. I’d also like to mention that I felt as if I could call and email my attorney, Sylvia Ayass, at any time, and she was always in touch with me. Ms. Ayass was professional, yet compassionate and made me feel comfortable. The A.D.I.L.A. Law Group changed my life, fought for me, stood behind me and supported me. I recommend The A.D.I.L.A. Law Group and trust them with all of my future immigration matters.

I had the pleasure of working with and getting to know Valerie Curtis from the ADILA Law Group for a very critical immigration matter. She was referred to me by an acquaintance who had a very positive experience with her. From the start Valerie was not only an advisor on legal aspects of the case but acted as an advisor and counselor. She was able to draw on her considerable resources to help my case along while keeping a sense of urgency on tasks and deadlines. Her compassionate understanding of the human factors involved from both the authorities as well the client's struggles allow her to chart a course that ensures true representation and accurate dissemination of facts. Her entire staff was always informed, up to date on the progress and next steps. This aspect alone helps the process along without causing communication issues or missed expectations.

I felt very lucky to have met her and would definitely continue relying on her expertise in the future as well.
