Sylvia Ayass

Associate Attorney
Sylvia Ayass joined The A.D.I.L.A. Law Group in the summer of 2010. In that time she has represented clients in various immigration matters. As an associate attorney, Ms. Ayass has worked on employment and investor visas. She has also made regular appearances before the Immigration Courts, where she has fought to obtain Asylum, Cancellation of Removal and Adjustment of Status processes. Ms. Ayass has represented clients before the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.
Education and Experience
- Ms. Ayass graduated from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles California in 2009. Ms. Ayass was president and co-founder of the Law and Arts Society at Loyola Law School and received the First Honors Award in Law and Literature in 2008.
- As a law student, Ms. Ayass clerked at Homeboy Industries, a non-profit focused on assisting gang afflicted youth. At Homeboy Industries, Ms. Ayass worked on criminal and immigration matters. Ms. Ayass then accepted a position as a law clerk at the Federal Public Defender in Santa Ana, California. Ms. Ayass worked immediately after passing the bar on civil rights litigation matters at the Law Offices of Leo James Terrell from 2009 until 2010.
- Prior to law school, Ms. Ayass attended the University of California, Santa Barbara, where she double majored in Comparative Literature and Chicana and Chicano Studies.
Membership
Ms. Ayass is admitted to practice law before the California Supreme Court.
